Welcome to the Center of Infectious Disease Control

Our founding physician, Dr. David Smith, is a foremost infectious disease specialist and authority on the prevention, diagnosis, control and treatment of infectious diseases such as  staphylococcal illnesses, aides, lyme disease, influenza (flu), swine influenza, hepatitis, mononucleosis and other emerging infectious diseases.

Located next to River Oaks Hospital off of Lakeland Drive in Ridgeland, the center provides specialized infectious disease diagnosis, treatment and care for infectious diseases on site.  Every patient receives personal consultations and direct access to an infectious disease specialist.

In addition to treatment and care, the CIDE consults with hospitals, health care facilities and institutions regarding control procedures for infectious agents, policies and operations regarding infectious disease prevention, treatment and infectious disease control.
